For cleaning, you will need an old toothbrush, microfiber cloths, baking soda, a spray bottle, white distilled vinegar, and a vacuum cleaner with a crevice tool attachment. First, take a spray bottle and set it to mist and pour the white vinegar in it. Vacuum away the all the loose dust and grime from the tracks and sprinkle some amount of baking soda along the channel of the window. Dampen the track by spritzing the baking soda with vinegar to form a light fizz. Take a toothbrush and loosen the debris and dirt within the channels. Once done, use a microfiber cloth to wipe away the solution completely. Keep repeating the baking soda and vinegar spritzing and following procedures for cleaning window tracks until it is completely clean.  Don’t forget to keep changing the microfiber cloth with a clean one, when dirty.

Microfiber cloths must be used for cleaning and wiping.

For cleaning window tracks with the use of the garment steamer, you will need a vacuum with a crevice tool, a garment steamer, distilled water, and microfiber cloths. You should always consult the instruction for heating and adding water to the steamer. While you place the garment steamer for heating, clear out all the dirt and dust from the channels using the vacuum and crevice tools. Once your steamer is ready, use it to break the debris stuck in the window channels. Use a microfiber cloth to dust the loosened grime. Keep repeating the steps until all the grime is loosened and keep changing your soiled microfiber cloth.
